Trevino’s Mexican Comida to open Saturday

Trevino's may actually open on Aug. 5.

Trevino’s will really open Saturday, hopefully.

It’s been a slow-go for Louie and Bertha Trevino’s new Trevino’s Mexican Comida on Montgomery Street, but the homey resto in a refurbished office building will finally open this weekend, at 9am Saturday.

This location is a spin-off of L. Trevino’s, opened in 1988 in Rockwall. (Louie is also a former partner at the old Casa Dominguez in Dallas). The family eventually moved L. Trevino’s from its original locale into a space in Rockwall’s downtown square.

The Fort Worth location will have the same menu as the Rockwall store, comprised of Tex Mex standards enchiladas, tacos, fajitas and seafood dishes, as well as some more interesting items like taco soup and open-faced burritos. They’ll also serve breakfast on Saturday and Sunday, offering migas, menudo and tongue taquitos.

Dining room will seat about 40 people.

It’s a small dining room, with seating for about 40 people. There will be additional seating on an outdoor patio.
