French fried: The Oui Lounge location of Tim Love’s Love Shack is closing.

On Monday, the Fort Worth Weekly broke the news that the Oui Lounge location of Tim Love’s Love Shack will close. According to DFW.com’s follow-up story, a press release said Love and the owners couldn’t agree on so-and-so. That leaves the original Love Shack, following the closings of the So7 and Denton locations.

On the subject of burgers, DFW.com announced its annual burger battle, done bracket-style. Readers are already fussing about it. “Why isn’t Fuddruckers on the list? Are you kidding me? You put fast food burgers on the list before Fudds? What’s wrong with you people?”

Somehow or another, Esperanza’s made Zagat’s top 20 Mexican restaurants in 20 cities list.

In restaurant reviews, Star-Telegram’s Malcolm Mayhew penned a very positive review of the new DeVivo Bros. Eatery in Keller, and based on a visit there last week, I couldn’t agree more. It’s one of my favorite new restaurants. DFW.com’s Teresa Gubbins visited the new Campisi’s on the west side and Joseph Daniel managed to write a DFW.com review of Simply Burgers in Arlington without mentioning the meat on the burger.

Eater Dallas did a roundup of lobster rolls in North Texas, mentioning those at Waters and Ryan’s Fine Grocer & Deli.

Cowtown Diner may be good now.
